ENET Board of Directors Receives IEEE Award
The Board of Directors of the IEEE Boston Entrepreneurs’ Network (Boston ENET) has been selected as a recipient of the IEEE-USA Regional Professional Leadership Award for Boston ENET’s “support of the entrepreneurial community and contributions to the professional growth of individuals and organizations.”

IEEE (the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) is the world’s largest professional association dedicated to advancing technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity.
Boston ENET’s award will be announced at the 2015 IEEE-USA Annual Meeting & 36th Great Lakes Biomedical Conference in Milwaukee in May and presented June 7 at the 2015 IEEE Boston Section Spring Social and Awards Reception in Woburn.
“ENET is quite proud of this national award of recognition from IEEE,” said Rob Adelson, Chairman of the Boston ENET Board. “ENET has also grown beyond the community of just engineers and IEEE to a place where tech and life sciences company founders and entrepreneurs of all sorts learn, network, and grow.
“Since our founding in 1991, IEEE Boston Entrepreneur’s Network has grown to where we now organize 17 evening meetings per year, ten in Waltham and seven in Cambridge, for early stage entrepreneurs and investors,” he said. “Every ENET meeting is designed to be a learning experience in a nurturing environment, during which three or four experts speak on the subject of funding, marketing, management, IP and other subjects of interest to founders and entrepreneurs. We end each program year in July with a sunset networking cruise of Boston Harbor that typically attracts 200 attendees.
“ENET’s meetings have been instrumental in the formation of many companies and ENET continues to grow and provide an important venue for participants and members to network, talk about their ideas, showcase their startup, and conduct business.”
