About Boston TEMS Chapter: Technology and Engineering Management (TEM) Society, Boston Chapter is for Engineering Managers and Executives from Engineering, Science and Technology based organizations. All those aspiring to become proficient and Savvy Leaders are welcome. We provide a forum to facilitate knowledge sharing to make strategic and critical decisions. We draw upon real-life scenarios from across the spectrum of engineering specialties. Our meetings will serve those looking to Manage Engineering Programs, Projects and Technologies. You can learn from leaders, get mentored by experts, share experiences and network with accomplished professionals.

Jeffrey McCarthy

Jeff McCarthy has been a partner at North Bridge Venture Partners since 1998.

Prior to becoming an investor, Jeff had a distinguished career in sales and operations. As President and CEO of New Oak Communications, a leading provider of extranet access switches, he oversaw all operations and shepherded the company through its acquisition by Bay Networks. Jeff stayed on after the acquisition as VP and General Manager of the Access Division.

Before New Oak, Jeff was VP of Sales and Business Development at Cadia Networks, a developer of ATM concentrator products for the service provider marketplace. Jeff also held various senior management positions earlier in his career, including VP of Carrier Operations at Wellfleet Communications/Bay Networks.

A magna cum laude graduate of Northeastern University, School of Management, Jeff received his MBA degree from Bentley College.

Sandeep Jain

Sandeep Jain currently works for Leader Bank as Vice President/ Commercial Loan Officer. Sandeep has over a decade of experience in commercial lending. Over his career, he has helped hundreds of businesses, startups, and non-profits get access to capital and expand their businesses. Sandeep also actively volunteers and is on the Board for Food Link, a non-profit based in Arlington MA. He holds an MBA in Finance and an MS in Accounting from Clark University

Brian Hult

Brian Hult is a founding partner of private equity firm Blue Nexus Ventures. He joined BNV from Cabot Boston Credit Union and Cabot Corporation. For over 9 years at Cabot Boston Credit Union he held the roles of Member and Chairman, Board of Directors and was responsible for the management of the funds of 800 members totaling over $7.4 AUM. Over the 9 years he held leadership roles conducting audits, loan reviews, credit underwriting, reviewing and revising policy compliance processes, and implementation of member growth strategies. For over 11 years at Cabot Corporation Mr. Hult held roles of increasing responsibility in New Product Chemistry, Process Engineering, and Strategic Market Development which resulted in the development of intellectual property, the scaling of new products from lab-scale to metric ton production scales, and commercial launches in Inkjet Printing, Automotive and Industrial Rubber, and Battery industries.He has a history of startups and experience in a variety of industries including internet gaming, performance and racing automotive aftermarket, aquaculture, clean tech, environmental, consulting and marketing & advertising. He holds a Masters of Science degree in Technology Entrepreneurship and a Masters of Science degree in Chemistry and Materials Science from Northeastern University and a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry with minors in Physics and Business Administration from Eastern Nazarene College.
